About Sheriff Dawson
Stephen Dawson is the sheriff of the town of Saint John, NB. He is married to his wife, Rebecca (Hill) Dawson. His best friend and Deputy, Patrick Jackson is a bit younger, and a little odd. Stephen's parents are both gone now, but he has a close relationship with his sister, Annie (Dawson) Riley. His brother-in-law, who is many years his senior is a famous architect from the city, and comes from a prominent family. Stephen doesn't like his brother-in-law, John much but has learned to tolerate him.
Stephen is a fan of mysteries, especially anything written by famous author, Edgar Allen Poe. He enjoys poker, hunting, anything manly except for fishing. This is due to his near drowning when he was still a boy. He fears water, and heights, which can be a problem for him.
Normally, Sheriff Dawson's life is normal and dull, but sometimes things happen that is out of his control. Armed with nothing but inexperience, and the wit of his deputy, Sheriff Dawson does everything in his power to solve the cases that fall into his lap. However, sometimes things aren't what they seem!
Rebecca (Becky) Dawson
Rebecca known solely as Becky, is the daughter of John Hill, and sister to Maggie. She has other siblings briefly mentioned in Guilty Deceptions. She is married to Stephen, and at first might come off as sneaky, but her heart is always in the right place.
This reoccurring character is in both novels, and has a deeper thread to the stories then some may realize. Becky is a support to Stephen, and he often talks about his cases with her. She is clever, and witty giving him advice when all seems lost.
Patrick Jackson
Saint John's Deputy Patrick Jackson might be young and a little odd but he has a keen eye. Patrick is usually found at Stephen's side, and usually the one taking notes. Yet, he pays attention to detail and adds his input every now and then. He enjoys cooking, needlework, theatre and knitting.
Annie Riley
Stephen's sister Annie, is a major support. He constantly goes to Annie for advice on his cases. The two of them have been close since childhood. Annie is married to John Riley, A famous architect in the city and a member of a prominent family. She has three young sons but still manages to host supper every Monday night.

About My WIP
I'm currently working on a new work in progress, it's a prequel to both books. This untitled project is still in the early stages of development. (I'm still on the first draft) This story is based on the mass murder of an entire family in 1857. I haven't worked everything out yet, and I'm hoping to have this finished by the end o the year but we'll see.
The Future of My YouTube Channel
I've decided to use my YouTube Channel for three things only. Book Trailers, Book Teasers, and Monthly Readings, which will start later this month. I'm finding the Vlogs take a lot of time to create and that no one is actually watching the videos. You can find all my updates here on this blog. As well, as my Journey as an author, my mistakes, and what's been working for me on my journey.
Until Next time, D.C.
