Good morning, and happy #Wednesday! As promised here's another update blog.
My Mornings
I get up between 6 am and 7am everyday. I dedicate the first couple hours to blogs, Social Media posts, and of course promoting Guilty Deceptions. I grab a cup of coffee, and sit down by 9am and write. I work most of the morning. I stop and eat lunch between 12pm and 1pm.
My Afternoons & Evenings
After lunch, I sit back down, check my social media's, and then I write some more. Usually until between 3pm and 4pm. That's when I do my dishes and clean up around the house, but my mind is always on my writing. Then I cook supper, eat, and my early evening is usually spent writing. Some days I stop to watch a movie. Then I read a couple chapters, in whatever book I'm reading and go to bed.
My Progress
Dark Jealousy is really coming along. I'm on Chapter eleven of nineteen, and am about 54,869 words deep. I'm rattling through the book, but I'm seeing holes I need to fix in the rewrite. Still, Dark Jealousy is going to be a good book, and maybe even better than the first.

My Plans for Guilty Deceptions
I'm eventually going to go wide with Guilty Deceptions. Before I do however, I'm going to donate a couple of copies to my local library. My goal right now is to get a few people reading it and seeing where it goes. With any luck, people will start leaving reviews and ratings. This really supports the writers, and helps get the book flowing, so always leave a rating or review to show support. So far, everyone who has read it loved it. But I don't have the reviews yet to back that up, so I think readers are hesitant to buy it.
My Content Bucket Experiment
I recently received a writing tip from another author. They told me to create a content bucket for my social media, and stick to it. I'm only a few days into it, but I've already noticed that engagement is up. Let's hope this continues throughout the month.
TikTok Experiment
I'm trying on TikTok, but I'm still getting used of how things work. I've got some followers and some likes and views but, it's not a lot. I need better content on there to even see how it goes. But I'm not going to give up on it either.
Until next time,
D.C. Malcolm
