Guest Blog, and Writing Progress

Back in January I was approached by fellow author Allan Hudson. Allan had asked if I would like to be featured on his blog, The South Branch Scribbler. I accepted, and today that article came out. I really enjoyed working with Allan, and hope to again in the future.

In the article, I talk about Guilty Deceptions and the back story on what made me write the novel. It also includes and excerpt from Chapter One of the book. So, if you'd like you can check out that article here.

Dark Jealousy

For the past week, I have been working on the 2nd Draft of Dark Jealousy. Currently, I have just finished Chapter Five, and am sitting at about 22,000 words. Dark Jealousy when completed will be over 80,000 words. Therefore, I'm not really that far into the 2nd draft. I'll be working on this extensively and hope to have the 2nd draft completed by the end of the

month. This process is probably the longest part of writing because it requires edits and re-

writes. Hopefully, with any luck, I'll be able to start the 3rd Draft by mid-April. If I stay on schedule with my writing, hopefully we are looking at a summer release.

Third Book

There will be a third book featuring Sheriff Dawson, I haven't figured out the details of the book yet. However, I do know that the book will center around the Great Fire of 1877. It's hard to say what kind of case it will be, or whether it will take place in Willow Grove or Saint John. It's probably going to take place in Saint John, as that's where the Great Fire hit, but

other than that I don't know the details surrounding that book yet. I've just been thinking about it a lot. I think I might combine the premise of two short stories I had written in High

School, and use that as the storyline. I just have to find a way that will make it work. We are

probably looking at 2024 before I even start writing this one. It all depends on how quickly

I finish Dark Jealousy.
