Hey guys, I know it's been a while, and due to set backs during the editing process I had to push the release of Guilty Deceptions to a couple of weeks. I promise you, it will be worth the wait.
I've been editing the novel endlessly the past month, and need a few more days to finish it off. I'm looking at a mid-November release, and am excited to get it released so I can get started on my next novel.
I've decided in celebration of the editing process being close to finished what better way to
mark the event by releasing another short excerpt for a limited amount of time. This particular excerpt is the opening paragraphs of Chapter One. When young Caroline Sheppard stumbles upon a horrifying scene. Please ignore the "spelling error" my editor won't accept Quaco as word. I assure you it is a name of a road. Also, keep in mind that the novel is set in 1869, as much as I attempted to keep racism out of my book, there was only so much I could do to avoid it. However, whenever such issues arrive, the main character always
has a positive and modern day view of the situation. Please, enjoy the excerpt, and don't forget about Guilty Deceptions when it is released.
Thanks for your time,
D.C. Malcolm
