Hello all, and happy Saturday!
I've been working hard on my second novel, and I'd like to report that the first draft is about 3/4's done. Let me tell you a little more about it. It is a sequel to Guilty Deceptions, picking up one year after the events of Guilty Deceptions ends. It follows the investigation of a series of murders in the Willow Grove area in 1871.
Many characters from Guilty Deceptions make a return in this book. It might be a good idea to read the first book to get a feel for the second book. I'm undecided for how long I'll keep these books going, but I do know as I'm writing the second book, ideas for a third book are fresh in the works.
I feel it's nearly time to reveal the title for this work in progress, so I should be doing that sometime this week. I'm unsure at this time when my Work in Progress will be complete, but I'll let you know immediately when it is. There's a lot of time between now and then, and there will be many updates on it's progress.
For those of you who follow my Facebook and Twitter accounts, I've made a content bucket that I'm going to stick to. The topics are interesting and easy to follow. I can only hope it can heighten engagement on both of those social media's. For those of you who might not know my other social media accounts are on Instagram, TikTok, Goodreads, and Pinterest. I am most active on my Twitter and Facebook pages.
Part of my Content Bucket, contains blog updates, three times a week. I will be posting blogs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. I hope that you continue to enjoy reading updates on my books, and enjoy reading my books as much (if not more) then I enjoy writing them.
You might also be curious as to what I'm reading, as I write my second book. Currently I'm reading a book called The Remaking, by Clay McLeod Chapman. I just started the book so I don't have too much to say about it at this time. From what I've read of it it seems interesting, and it is compared to Stephen King's The Shinning So, let's see how good it really is. Will update on how the book is at a future time.
I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday and if you haven't read Guilty Deceptions yet, please do, you won't be disappointed!
Thanks, and until next time, D.C. Malcolm
